Planning an outdoor bar
An outdoor bar has to handle sun, rain, wet swimsuits and more foot traffic than most indoor bars. Start by measuring the bar or rail: bar-height stools with a seat of about 29–31″ pair with 40–42″ bar tops, rails and high-top tables. The Keel Bar Stool lists a 30.25″ seat height. Why aluminum outdoors
All four stools use aluminum frames marked Indoor/Outdoor, which are UV-resistant and suited to year-round outdoor use. Slatted seats on the Sandbar Bar Stool and Shoreline Bar Stool let rain run off so stools are usable soon after a shower. For more on each model, see aluminum frame bar stools.
High-top tables on a patio
Stools at freestanding high-tops need bar-height bases. Our outdoor table bases are offered in bar height and treated for outdoor use, with adjustable glides for uneven paving. Top them with an HPL, aluminum or stone top from outdoor table tops.
End-of-day routine
Stack stools at close to clear the deck for cleaning, and rinse with mild soap and water. On windy rooftops, stacking also keeps lightweight stools from moving.
