Rooftop Bar & Pool Deck Furniture

Rooftop bars, hotel pool decks and terraces are hard on furniture: full sun, wind, rain and salt or chlorine. This collection pulls together the outdoor-rated pieces that suit those spaces, with bar-height stools for rails and high-tops, dining chairs for lounge and table seating, and tops and bases built for the weather. Everything on this page is contract grade and ships across the U.S. and Canada.

Outdoor bar stools

Aluminum-frame bar stools are light enough to rearrange, do not rust and stack for storage. The Keel Bar Stool has a 30.25″ seat height for 40–42″ bar-height rails and tables, and the Shoreline Bar Stool is all aluminum, including its “faux wood” slats. See our bar stool height guide.

Outdoor chairs for rooftops and pool decks

Mix slatted aluminum chairs such as the Sandbar Side Chair with woven or faux-wicker styles like the Mist Arm Chair and Sunset Arm Chair for lounge corners. On the windiest decks, the heavier powder-coated steel Horizon Side Chair stays put.

Outdoor table tops

Aluminum-frame and HPL tops are the lightest and ship in 1–2 weeks; quartz and sintered stone tops are heavier, which adds stability in wind, and ship in 2–3 weeks. Tops are sold separately from bases.

Outdoor table bases

Choose bases specially treated for outdoor use, and consider a wider base spread for bar-height tables and windy locations. Our table base sizing guide shows which base fits each top.

Planning a rooftop or pool deck

Plan about 24″ of rail or table edge per seat, keep service paths clear, and choose heavier pieces for exposed corners. Rinse salt, chlorine and pollen off regularly, and stack chairs and stools during storms or the off-season. More in our outdoor furniture materials guide and on our outdoor patio dining page.

Frequently asked questions

What furniture works best on a rooftop bar?

Aluminum and powder-coated steel seating rated for indoor and outdoor use, HPL, aluminum-frame or stone table tops, and bases specially treated for outdoor use. Heavier pieces stay put better in wind.

What seat height do rooftop bar stools need?

For 40–42 inch bar rails and high-top tables, choose bar stools with a seat height of about 29–31 inches, such as the Keel Bar Stool at 30.25 inches.

Which table tops can stay outside?

Our quartz, granite, sintered stone, HPL and aluminum-frame tops are rated for indoor and outdoor use. Standard laminate and solid wood tops are indoor only.

Can this furniture be used around a pool?

Yes. Aluminum and poly-molded seating is suited to pool decks; rinse off chlorine and salt regularly to keep finishes looking their best.
